What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a powerful practice that goes beyond relaxation, offering pathways to enhanced performance, emotional clarity, and profound personal transformation. As a certified Oxygen Advantage® Functional Breathing Instructor and SOMA Breath® Instructor, I combine science-backed methods with holistic practices to create impactful experiences for diverse settings—from corporate workshops to immersive personal journeys.

About Me

My name is Mads Friis.

Starting with a foundation in business and psychology, I began my career in management consulting before building my first tech startup. This journey led me into the global startup ecosystem, where I facilitated workshops for entrepreneurs and teams. Later, I returned to building startups myself, combining hands-on experience with a passion for growth and innovation. 

Along the way, I earned certifications in executive coaching, life coaching, and health coaching, refining my ability to guide individuals and teams to success. Discovering breathwork was a turning point, showing me its transformative power for well-being and performance. Today, I integrate all these experiences to deliver workshops and journeys that unlock clarity, resilience, and breakthroughs.

Workshops

These sessions focus on science-based techniques inspired by the Oxygen Advantage® method. Designed to optimize daily breathing, they help individuals and teams:

Journeys

Breathwork journeys are immersive experiences lasting over an hour, designed to tap into deeper layers of the mind and body. Using the SOMA Breath® system, which combines rhythmic breathing, curated music, and ancient techniques, these journeys often evoke:

  • Profound mental clarity and insights
  • Altered states of consciousness naturally—similar to the effects of psychedelics

Participants frequently describe feelings of flying out of their bodies, experiencing instant clarity, or gaining life-changing perspectives. Research has shown these techniques can stimulate brainwaves similar to those in altered states of consciousness, offering a powerful and non-pharmacological tool for transformation.
